Win 8 issue
« on: December 21, 2012, 11:50:10 am »
Hello
The registry backup did not work at logon. I clicked to edit the schedule and changed the default to Win 8. I rebooted and still no luck. I noticed it is installed where it was with Win 7[prog files(86], but I cannot find the Regbak where I could view the backups.
Am I doing something wrong? Should I reinstall over this program?
Thank you
Peter

Can you run the program normally?

I am on Win8 and my reg backup is working fine.

HI Shane
I can run a manual backup but not at logon.

I am curious, where are the backups that were labeled Regbak?

Go to the settings in the program, there you will see where the backups are being saved to :-)

If the change backup location isnt checked then the backups are in a backup folder in the same directory as the program. You can also go to the restore tab, choose a backup and click the open backup folder button at the bottom.

I was just reading your message when I noticed the new version.
I installed it and now the folder is where it should be.
The fact that it wasn't is now a moot point.
Thanx again.
Peter
