‘An error occurred’
« on: June 18, 2020, 09:53:24 am »
Hello, i am new to the forum.
There’s a outlook ost file that I could open in Dell Inspiron laptop on Windows 8. However, after the Windows 10 update, I suddenly can’t open it anymore. It gives the following message, ‘Sorry. an error occurred’.
I am hoping someone in this community could provide me with some answers. Thanks very much in advance for all your help.

I don't have any experience of Outlook or trouble shooting it.

It's possible that the 2004 update is the cause, but have a look at the suggestions in this article, but disregard what looks like a paid for program of the OST to PST Converter.

These cmds may or not help in resolving the problem which you can try if those steps are unsuccessful.

Open a Command Prompt (Admin) and enter -

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

Enter exit to close the cmd window and let me know what they report.
