removing data from windows laptop on a mac - virus issue

Hey, there! I just find out than I got a virus or maybe some on my hp laptop while I was transferring it onto mac. And my antivirus 360 total doesn't work with it. Any ideas, what should I do ?

For Windows I would suggest using the free ESET Online Scanner.

Tom, huge thanks! I tried both of them and my windows laptop had a trojan, happily it's done. Lol, I am not a spammer, I am just a newbie with this stuff. This mac is the first in my life, so it's quite difficult to understand everything there, you know. I was installing Bitdefender free addition using your link, but couldn't finish. May be you know another one?

I check out all new members and my search on you, other than being reported for spamming once in 2015 and then again in 2016, you have been reported for spamming in February, March and May of this year.

I'm not sure why Bitdefender failed to install on your Mac as it is supposed to be for a Mac.

are'n you a stalker, Tom? :shocked:take it easy)) This works, maybe because it has an app store button, in a previous one it also worked, but don't know why my attempt failed.I also tryed https://bestantiviruspro.org/review/mcafee-review/ which is similar to it. But the visual side of  Bitdefender is better for me, but another one which I found on twearking is faster in usage.

I'm not a stalker - simply doing my job as a Moderator to police the forum and keep out scammers.

If you had been a prolific spammer then I would have banned you out of hand and removed your thread.

I wasn't looking for an antivirus program but a dedicated scanner for your Mac, although as your HP laptop had picked up a Trojan, then perhaps a change of AV program would be prudent.

Did you run Malwarebytes and did it find anything.

I'm not sure which program you are referring to on Tweaking.com.

I changed to the paid for Kaspersky Total Security after becoming disillusioned with Norton Security Deluxe.

Did you run a scan on your Mac and did it find anything if so ?

Yeah I did it and found two viruses, happily it wasn't so serious. Now it works well, not as well as it was before, but much better than without running a scan
