I've been using Piriform's
Speccy for some time now, and I installed on this new laptop. I'm sure it has worked at least once, but today I noticed it produced an error (Unknown System Error 0x80041014) in all fields, rendering it useless. Through Google I found that this might be due to WMI being corrupted. I found and used Tweaking.com's
Repair WMI but unfortunately this didn't fix the issue either.
Then I used Tweaking.com's
Windows Repair, without too much hope to be honest, as Repair WMI hadn't worked. But nonetheless
Windows Repair did actually fix the issue! I can use Speccy again now.
Btw first thing I did was registering to this forum and writing this post. I haven't fully checked the rest of my system, so at this point I don't know what Windows Repair did in other areas. I'll let you know if I find anything useful.
