App Store
« on: March 15, 2019, 10:31:31 am »
Why is the "App Store" Repair feature even included in this program ?  It has been several versions since I last posted this

https://www.tweaking.com/forums/index.php?topic=5988.0

Yet Tweaking still has the option and when you use it and reboot into safe mode and wait that time you find " this feature is disabled because of the constant changes in the app store."

There is the App repair and the App reset.

Selecting one unchecks the other as there's no point in repairing something and then resetting it.

This reply does not address my question.  You check App Repair and go into safe mode and are told it doesn't do this for this version of windows because of the constant changes in the app store.
This has been saying this for quite some time and many versions.  so basically it doesn't work.

Well I've recently test run 4.4.6 on Win 10 1809 with default repairs set and I didn't get any error messages.

Are you using the latest version ?

Try the program again but this time with the App Store reset option checked.

When I test run the program I don't sit and watch it so I would have missed that message.

However, I've just done what have and run just that one repair and get the same skip message.

I'll ask Shane about this but if you are having problems with the App Store, you can reset it from within Windows or use a Powershell cmd as in this article.
