Tweaking.com wrecked everything

Hi.

I was having trouble with my Start Menu having become corrupt and then I found a thread that suggested using tweaking.com.

Used it, and, though it fixed the Start Menu issue, now all my other programs are corrupt, for example, if I want to start Google Chrome up, I get this error: "Some features may be unavailable and changes to preferences won't be saved."

Other things have lost their settings as well such as Corel Draw and so on...

My virtual network switch settings have also become corrupt so much so that I can't access PCs on my home network anymore.

I ran all the repairs from safe mode and didn't notice stuff was broken until today.

AFAIK you are the first to report damage to this extent.

I assume you are using Win 10 ?

Can you go Start - type winver and press enter when it comes up and let us know which version of Win 10 you are using.

Can you then open Windows Explorer - right click on This PC - select Properties and then System Protection to see if you have any restore points you can use.

The program also has a Registry Restore option you can use through Backup Tools - Restore under Registry Backup - Registry Restore then use the dropdown to select the dated back up and then hit Restore Now.

This would be best done in Safe Mode.

Sometimes running the program again can resolve problems that can occur after the first run.

I'm in the process of doing a system restore now anyway...

It was Windows 10 Pro with all updates installed as of 2 days ago before running tweaking.com

Oh, ok, don't think 1809 got installed yet to be honest but once it comes back I can let you know.
