You can reinstall the Security Center service from this article https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/236709-services-restore-default-services-windows-7-a.html but see if the following article will also help - https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2519899/error-message-security-center-service-cannot-be-started

Check to see if the RPC and Windows Management Instrumentation services are started and their status should be as in the first article.

You can also use the repair program to restore the registry to before you ran the program.

Click on Backup Tools - under Registry Backup - Restore - Registry Restore - use the dropdown to select the date then click on Restore Now and check if the Security Center is working as it should.

It's best to do this in Safe Mode.

What was the reason you ran the repair program ?

Download the 30 day trial of HDSentinel which will give a written report on the status of your HDD and download the free version of HWMonitor which will tell you your temps to see if the machine is running hot.

Download the Trial v5.30 (ZIP) and then uninstall it when done to stop the clock and then you can use it again as and when from your Downloads folder.

https://www.hdsentinel.com/download.php

https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

The free download button is down on the left.
