not be moved to the top of the Windows Media Player
« on: May 15, 2018, 10:55:13 am »
Sometimes it can not be moved to the top of the Windows Media Player window while playing music. The process is only active on the taskbar.

It's just sometimes  can not restore the top window or, for example, a full screen from the taskbar.

Other applications seem to work correctly.
I tried to find a similar problem on the Microsoft website or another forum, but I can not find one.
All tools do not have any problems with Media Player, so I do not know why Media Player works in the background, but in rare cases it can not be restored after minimizing the taskbar window.

Have you tried reinstalling WMP ?

You can do this from within Programs and Features/Turn Windows features on or off - expand Media Features and uncheck the box for WMP - close that off then reboot and go back in and check its box to see if that resolves.

Installing again will not solve any problems, I have all updates and the problem is only occasional problems from WMP. SFC /SCANNOW always shows that the system does not require any repair. The problem with WMP may be related to something else. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

How do you know if a reinstall won't work if you haven't tried it ?

I don't know why you bother posting your problems on here as you reject all help that is offered.

I won't be responding to any further threads from you and I doubt if anyone else will because of your attitude.

You do not read with understanding. I had to install the system from scratch, because the clean WMP installation is on the DVD. But that does not change anything.
Audio device control The problem does not occur

I'm not a layman and I know dozens of different solutions
Code: [Select]
Method 1.

Try using the troubleshooter to see if that fixes the problem.

a. Open the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel.

b. In the search box, type "troubleshooter", and then click Troubleshooting.

c. Click View all, and then click Windows Media Player Settings.

Method 2.

A clean boot helps to verify if any third party application service or startup item is causing this issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 3 in the article to boot to normal startup.

Method 3.

You may update the video card driver and check.

Update drivers: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Update-drivers-recommended-links

Method 4.

I would suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if that helps. The SFC /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

For more information how to do SFC/ scan, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Hope this helps.
, but it does not change anything. I know so many solutions, but this one is unique in this case and I do not know where to look for a solution.
I understand that you do not want to help. Because what you propose does not solve the problem.
I do not want you to suggest solutions that I know perfectly well because it will never solve the problem.
I do not know the problem, but I am looking for a solution, maybe the process related to WMP is "stuck" or "DeadLock" - if you do not know what it means, I refer to google.

Hi, Op, your question lacks clear details.
The post 1, just does not convey what the exact problem is.
Just reframe your question as to what the actual problem is
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

Hi, Just in case if you have not tried , try this.
Go to control panel and programs and features, if you click, you will find turn windows features off and on.
Click it wait for it to load, and then go to item media , expand, and then find windows media player there, just uncheck , reboot. Then on reboot, go to the same menu, enable it allow it to change the settings and reboot. Next time, you try to get full screen by double click any video.
This is one of the trouble shooting of wmp
The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

can only exit the application and restart, but does not change the fact that sometimes can not be restored on top of played during the audio file. I tested on several computers and my friend. Similar situation.

The problem with restoring the window to the top causes the option:
Turn on the repeat mode PLAY
