There are two programs I would advise you run, the free version of MBAM and AdwCleaner.

As for MBAM, click on Scan in the left pane and select Custom Scan/Configure Scan and check the box for at least C:
You can also opt to include the Rootkit scan.
As you haven't said which version of Windows you are using and as you should also check the Hosts File to see if it needs defaulting, I'll let you Google for that.
