Stuck on 28 - Repair Windows Component Store
« on: August 17, 2017, 01:14:55 pm »
I am running All-In-One repair on a Windows 8.1 laptop. It has been on 28. Repair Windows 8/10 Component Store for over an hour. Should I let it run or stop the process?

Can you pull the main window down to see if there's a permission box to carry on with the repair ?

If there isn't then stop it.

Open a Command Prompt (Admin) and enter dism /online /cleanup-image /analyzecomponentstore and if it says it needs cleaning then enter -

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

This can take a while to run.
