Version 4, converted to pro, won't update

Hi team, not a complaint, more a report for whatever it is worth. I upgraded to version 4.0 pro, then when I restarted the software I received an update notification to version 4.0.1 and when I opened the update tool (well, it opened for me) and I hit the download button, I received an unknown error message in the dialogue box and the download failed due to downloader error. I tried restarting the software and manually invoking the update tool but it's the same, so I am downloading a new setup file as I write this. It might be because everyone is hitting the update server, but I thought I'd report it anyway.

I'm talking to Shane as i type this what antivirus are you using it may be conflicting with the update go ahead and temporarily disable it for 5 min as you update the program and see if it works.

Hi Julian

I only have the usual Windows Defender running and disabling this makes no difference. I have no other TSR-monitoring type programs running. The tool 'knows' there is an upgrade, when I click the Check for Updates button, so that part of it is working, it just tanks with that error when I click the Download Update button as per the image.

Have you tried the update in Safe Mode with Networking ?
