Will need a few more details - what doesn't start and which version of Windows are you using ?

Vista Home, SP2.  I ran Windows Repair, now much of the PC isn't working.  It started when I got a message about Win Security Center, everything off and it won't turn on, error 1068 dependency service failed to start.  Tried system restore in safe mode, then boatloads of errors.  Got this one in the end 0x81000202. I have done services.msc, made sure everything was turned on etc.  Nothing works

If you can get back into Safe Mode, open the repair program and click on Step 5: Backup then on Open Registry Backup/Settings.

Click on Restore Registry then use the dropdown and select the backup then click on Restore Now.

If you ran the repairs a second time then use the earlier of those same dated back ups.

This will take you back the same as a restore point would.

What was the reason you ran the repair program ?
