WIN10
« on: June 02, 2017, 08:54:44 am »
After a long update to WIN 10 today (2nd June) I have lost the Microsoft calculator, store etc. so I thought I would try "Tweaking". Unfortunately it gets as far as safe mode but then I get the message: "Tips cant be opened using the Built-in administrator account. Sign in with a different account and try again".
I haven't got a different account!
What do I do - please.

You just close the box and carry on, but I think I'd be inclined to roll back to the previous build.

As it was a long update then I would assume it was for the Creators Update which will take you from build 1607 to 1703.

You can confirm that by going Start - type winver and press enter.

1703 has caused anomalous problems for some but none for others.

Many thanks for your advice. I'm afraid I have had to do a rollback and all has returned to normal. I will wait until it becomes less troublesome before I re-update.
Regards

As you got it through Windows Update then it may install itself again, although you will always have 10 days in which to roll back - but I'd still create a system image onto external media as it once failed to roll back on one of my laptops.
