Windows Repair 3.9.28 doesn't start
« on: April 25, 2017, 10:02:11 am »
Hello, the latest version does not work. Not as an update from .27 and not as 'normal' download. Up to version .27 no problem.
Windows version 1703 build 15063.138

I had the same problem in 1703 15063.138 and was going to reinstall but have found another problem with 1703 that I had been troubleshooting before I put it down to another 1703 anomaly.

I'll get back to you after I've tried another install.

Update - my existing 3.9.27 was corrupt when I tried to open it so directly downloaded a fresh copy and that wouldn't open either.

Following the first time I updated the program, had used a restore point to see if that would sort another problem, so not sure if it got corrupted with that.

I've reported this to Shane.

Okay - it's fixed now.

Download afresh or for drselz, update again from within the program.

When Shane had updated the program to .28 he had used a new stock .exe which must have had a bug in it and has since changed that back to what was used in .27.

This newest version 3928 will not open!  All was fine with 3927.  Removed and re-installed but no luck!  My MSI laptop worked fine with the auto update but this Dell Desktop will not take the update either way.  Any ideas?  Maybe we need a new version? 3929?

The problem with it not opening has been fixed and as it will open on your laptop then this must be specific to the Dell.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode with Networking and first reinstall then see if it will open.

Which antivirus program are you using ?
