registry backup/restore=Startup Repair Infinite Loop

used the registry backup option to backup and restore my registry, now my computer is stuck on Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery. note: it had happened x2.

my set up: i have windows install on C drive (ssd 500 gb) and user profiles on D drive (mechanical  drive/ 8tb)

please need some help on getting my windows back before i attempt reinstall  windows.

note: i have spend hours researching and trying solution from places like tenforums, google etc but no luck, please i would appreciate any help, thanks in advance and sorry for my English

Somehow the registry back up has become corrupt.

There are some steps in this article which may help, but they are for a single drive and you would need to be able to boot up with the install disk.

How do you mean all of your profiles are on a different HDD ?

To determine which partition Windows sees your OS in, rather than doing it as the article says, enter bcdedit |find "osdevice"

That is a Pipe symbol before find and is the uppercase of \

 reason is because i dont want my ssd to fill out with junk. however im having this issue now, i gonna use this guide: http://www.tweaking.com/forums/index.php/topic,5137.0.html and hopefully i can get it fixed, please if you have any knowledge let me know, also i dont think my backups are corrupted, i think there might be a bug on tweaking.com that is causing my windows to goes into Startup Repair Infinite Loop when restoring. note: i have 3, different days,

It's just that in the article you linked for doing what you did advised to create a system image, so I thought you may have continued with that practice.

Did none of the steps in the article I'd linked help ?
