Have you tried re-downloading the Chipset drivers for the motherboard and is there a BIOS upgrade available ?

I'm assuming that this is a USB keyboard?

Check in BIOS that "enable legacy support for USB" (or similar) is set to auto.

Looks like you need to flick the bios switch on the keyboard for it to work when in the bios settings

Hello guys,

Thanks for the suggestions but my bios still says no keyboard detected in startup after trying them all.

I am at a loss....

New mobo, new keyboard.... Updated chipset drivers... No dice.

Any other suggestions?

Try resetting the BIOS then - you may need to look up how to do this for your model of computer as it isn't always just a case of removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes.

Guy,

I am having serious issues.

I noticed the chipset driver would not install so uninstalled and deleted driver in order to try to update the latest version to fix my issue.

Well now... I can't install any chipset driver and most of my devices say they are not configured properly in device manager....

Please help.

Try your restore points back to before you uninstalled the driver.

I assume this computer is a custom build ?

None of my system restore points are working.

I am on default clocks and disabled antivirus and firewall. Still no dice...

Flipping out.

What error are you getting when your restore points fail ?

Can you try your restore points in Safe Mode.

Can you also try to install the chipset drivers in Safe Mode with Networking.

Have you done anything with the BIOS yet ?

I was able to restore in safe mode. Thank God!

I also figured out the keyboard not working in the bios issue...

I purchased a Inateck 5 port USB 3.0 PCI card (fresco logic f1000) for the oculus rift... When the card is plugged in... My keyboard does not work in the bios... When I unplug the card... My keyboard works in the bios....

So... Now I am troubleshooting that issue.

Also, I received a replacement motherboard  in an RMA for my Asus Rampage IV Black Edition.

When I received it... Some of the cpu socket pins were bent.... One in the middle... And a few in the top left corner.

What is the best way to bend those pins back? I have absolutely no experience with it.

Thanks again guys for all your help. Boggin you always answer my questions.... Thank you.

Glad to see that your restore points worked.

Sometimes an antivirus program will interfere with those, so if they fail in normal mode, then Safe Mode is the next step.

Personally I'd complain about the condition you have received the replacement in and ask them for another.

With care you may be able to straighten the pins with a needle, but bear in mind you would need to handle the needle with a gloved hand so that you don't transfer static from your body through the needle.

Even then, when you come to insert the CPU they may still not be fully aligned and bend again, but here are a couple of other methods you could try -

Get another RMA would be my best advice though.

I have complained but they want me to send this board in and me be without a computer for several weeks rather than sending me another. Very irritating.

They will replace my board with another but my processor is not compatible.

It is actually the socket pins that I need to straighten.... My processor is fine.

Any suggestions on how to deal with those?

Do you know anyone interested in buying an i7-4930k? It's a silicon lottery jackpot.... I can overclock to 4.5ghz with 1.28 vcore or 4.7 with 1.355 vcore.

Did you have to do that with the previous RMA ?

I suppose if you have or can buy an instrument or thin bladed screwdriver you may be able to ease those back into place.

Have you thought of sticking that on ebay ?
