Well, Windows has already told you that this program doesn't work properly.

I'd give anyone credit for persevering with a problem, but if it remains unsolvable after three years then I think it's time to kick the program into touch as not being compatible with your system.

It may be because of what you have installed on your machines and perhaps seeing if you have any better luck by trying what you want to achieve in a clean boot will produce better results - that will be for you to pursue.

It may be firewalls - I don't know.....

The application works correctly if not manipulate anything in the process of analyzing, defragmenting or erase free space.

You don't normally try to do anything else when you are defragging a HDD - but what about your remote failure and that .dll error - what brought about the .dll error ?

Use ESET SMART SECURITY 8 (Not use Windows Firewall)

Why the "Network" ? I use only local disks.

TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

1. I set the Firewall.
2. I tested the START / STOP - task.
3. Now it does not show the error, but cannot connect to the service.

If you don't have a licensed copy on both machines then it won't connect and would produce an error.

I do not use any network drives !, etc.
I do not use both machines !.
I only use one computer with the local disks.
I have no idea what's going on with the "Network"

I thought you were trying to run it remotely on another machine which is why you would need to open that port ?

I'd just use a 3rd party uninstaller or its own uninstaller if it has one then reinstall it to clear any changes you have made to it.

I do not use version of the "Server Edition", so I do not know this version of the "Professional" has to do with the network.
I turned off this option so the more there should be a network.
One can assume that O&O Defrag does not handle Multiple Physical HDD

I should think there would be a default for which HDD it would defrag, but I'd start from scratch with it to see if you missed anything first time around when you installed it.

It may give you the option to defrag secondary drives.

I have no idea how to solve this problem, I tried a variety of ways.
The service OODefragAgent turned off! Again, "manually" turn on(again run). It is a mega-annoying!

I use Norton Security which monitors the status of the HDD's Optimization and when I go to manually run Windows own Defrag, I'm quite often prompted to turn off Norton's settings.

Is your Windows Defrag set to its default 3:00am defrag schedule which may be overriding O&O - but as it seems to be giving you so much trouble, why not just dump it.

I certainly wouldn't have chewed on with a program as long as you have with this one.

Boggin - Most of the problems is the possible solution, but it requires modifying the registry.
Tested and the service is not stopped now, perhaps the best solution.

Microsoft is modifying the AppInit DLLs facility in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 to add a new code-signing requirement. This will help improve the system reliability and performance, as well as improve visibility into the origin of software.

Navigate the editor and find entry LoadAppInit_DLLs by viewing the following path:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_Dlls

fix error code 0xc0000005


Double click LoadAppInit_DLLs and modify its value to 0 from 1 and click OK to confirm the changing.

Windows 7 (but with the specifications of the Server - many files)
