size of system images
« on: August 23, 2012, 12:11:16 pm »
I have the tweaking.com registry up and running -fine.
I have set the # of days to 30 and sometimes delete a backup because I have to log on a couple or three times a day.
When I reach 30 days I will check back.

A general pc backup related question you may help me with - Acronis takes 42 GB when I do a system restore including folders etc.
Windows 7 utility does the same in 30 GB.
Any idea why one is so much smaller than the other -verification, or would that not figure in?
Thank you
Peter

Acronis may be doing a total drive image. This means page file, and hibernate file and such.

The Windows backup program doesnt grab those files, so that could be why it is smaller

I knew you would know why this happens and thank you. Acronis is worth the extra size and time.
