Realter Audio problem driver

My platform (motherboard Z97-PRO) is new + ALWAYS LATEST BIOS !!!
I would like to update the new drivers for the built-in sound card.
I uninstalled very old drivers, rebooted computer and cleaned.
I installed the latest drivers WHQL(Website Realtek!!) and bug installed so one number version lower and still error.
On the Internet, a lot of people have the exact same problem !!!
I do not want to reinstall
and again instaling VERY OLD DRIVER !!!???

Why VERY, VERY old drivers do not RETURN error

New drivers return an error.

If the older drivers were working fine then there's no real need to update them and it is generally advocated not to update drivers unless necessary because they can cause problems - regardless of the device.

If you aren't able to Roll back the driver then you can opt for one of the older ones from -

Of course, R2.79 it's the latest version, and I always have the most current drivers.

I don't know what you need to do with that and Googling for the Download the Code Signing bit just put me in a loop back to your original link, which seems more for hardware development than resolving your problem.

On digging deeper, it would seem that Windows does a signature check on drivers which can be disabled by choosing the option "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" in the advanced boot options.

This should stop the error, but I would have thought that Realtek would have digitally signed their drivers with MS - I certainly didn't receive that error when recently installing R2.79 on my other laptop.

I haven't tried that option so don't know if it is reversible.

I disagree that it would have a negative impact as it wouldn't be an option if it would cause harm.

This article shows you how to disable as well as re-enable, so it is obviously a recognised procedure.

I'm unable to check my other laptop as it is in for repair to have the HDD renewed.

Where do I find Security in Task Manager ?

Formerly - Disable driver signing. It ended up that I had to install the system again (too many errors in the system and BSOD), so it has a negative impact.

Nothing in what I have read about disabling the driver signing has said that it could cause the problems you have had, but in view of that, I will cross it off my list as a fix.

Why disable driver signing for all drivers if you can do it for a single-specific driver?

Hi, I find a pop up telling that it is not digitally signed drivers, and do need to allow or not. If you allow, it will install without any problem. the latest drivers in realtek com does not bear digital signature, but they are updating.
                  For my windows, bought hardware as windows xp, i installed the latest ac97 realtek drivers, when there was a popup warning about digital. I simply ignored and it installed without any error.

They must have been modified for Intel.

I've come across OEM modified graphics drivers before but never audio drivers - always thought that the ones for the OS were a one size fits all - but hey, we both learned something on this one
