This article may help https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox/customize/firefox-options-preferences-and-settings but entering about:config in the URL search box in Firefox will give you a page where you can change items to true or false, although I don't know which one you would need to change or if any of those will apply.

If you are still stuck then you may get better results from posting on the Firefox forum.
