Windows 10 mail print spool problem
« on: November 25, 2015, 09:01:33 pm »
I find I am unable to print directly from Windows 10 mail.
After selecting print in the mail app, the file goes to the printer spool but it does not output to the printer, very occasionally I have left the PC and found it has printed some hours later!
I can print from all other programs. To print an email I copy and paste into a word document and it prints OK.
I have reinstalled the driver several times.
My printer is a Canon MG5350.
I have run tweaking.com twice as recommended.
I am running the latest version of Windows 10 clean install.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hi, Please click the printer  to see whether there is queue. If it is the case, then stalled printer is the problem. Try to cancel all printing jobs first. If it is doing immediately then there is no problem in printer spool. But if it says deleting and stay there, the printer is stalled.
There is a utility called stalled printer restore program. If that is the problem, then download it and run. It will clear or purge all printing jobs without you making any effort. Please also see whether your printer is set as default and in online position. If it is in offline , turn in to online. The link is

The Bottom line is "Check your hardware first if it supports the task you try".

If you are able to print to the same printer from any other program then it sounds like it is a problem with the Windows 10 email program itself.

have you gone into the app store and then go to settings and have it check for updates? that is how the mail app will get updated, so that is the first thing to check.
