Hi,

Sometimes it takes a while get back to people that try help here:)
I have a day job too...

The error encountered was from downloading the new update package for my system.

As I updated my system to win7 finally; some of the old system files still referred to run under vista;
there should be a back end program to check which files are still registered under vista before updating the windows update engine;
yes, its true. I had checked the task manager and found some files to run under under vista

it is probably the root cause for so many failed update packages to run;

thanks in advance and nice day
