Registry errors HKU and HKLM owner and permission
« on: October 01, 2015, 03:45:45 am »
Hi.

Beside my previous post about Repair Reparse Points I also get following 5 error logs:
HKU_Set_Owner_Error_Log.txt
HKU_Set_Permissions_Error_Log.txt
HKLM_Set_Owner_Error_Log.txt
HKLM_Set_Permissions_Error_Log.txt
Services_Set_Permissions_Error_Log.txt
All are attached.
Failure text is in Swedish, here a translation:
Åtkomst nekad = Access denied
är felaktig = is wrong

Something I can do about it?

Regards
Tommy

hey that log was not to bad did you try running again to see if those errors pop up again and most times when you get an access is denied it means it was open when it was trying to write permission's.

I looked at them and those are all normal. There are some registry and folders that are protected or in use by Windows at all times, those you see in the errors are those ones. I should see about having those not show up in the logs since it is normal to see those errors.

Hi,
Thanks for the response. Then I don't have to worry.
FYI, same errors listed when running the 3.6.0 version.

Tommy

Yeah those errors should be the same for almost anyone. I am going to be updating the controls to the program tonight and putting out v3.6.1 tomorrow.

For right now I wont have time to add the skips for those ones, so I will do it in another update. If I do find a quick way to remove those common errors I will try to have it in the next update so that they dont freak people out lol
