Windows 7 stuck in safe mode
« on: September 15, 2015, 10:33:14 am »
After downloading windows repair V 3.5.0 and running the program, my windows 7 is only restarting in safe mode. I try reinstalling and rebooting several times but no luck. What do I have to do to get my computer to start normally?

hope you can help!

thank you

- Did you make - as recommended by the program - a backup of the registry ? Then you can -hopefully- restore the registry and solve the created problems.

hmmm windows repair should recognize when its in safe mode and tell it to kick out on next boot.you could try opening the windows repair in safe mode see if it kicks it out. if not open the run box type in msconfig go to the boot tab uncheck mark safeboot and check mark make all bootsettings permanent. then restart.

Registry has nothing to do with vista, 7 and newer going into safe mode.

The command changes the boot manager, which isnt stored in the registry.

When you open Windows Repair in safe mode, if you had the program set safe mode, it will run the command to put it back to normal. You can also open msconfig.exe and turn off safe mode there as well :-)
