Lenovo Solutions Center installed
« on: August 02, 2015, 10:15:32 am »
I accidentally allowed the Lenovo Solutions Center software to download and install on my Windows 7 Lenovo desktop and now I have tried every thing I can think of to uninstall it.  It no longer appears on the Uninstall list but still shows up in my Devices and I can't find a way to remove it.  I have tried many different sources to no avail.   :teeth:

Anyone out there have a solution to getting that complete erased from my hard drive/system????

I have never seen it so I dont know off the top of my head. Have you checked to see if they provide a removal tool for it at all?

I tried using the regular uninstaller and also Obit Powerful Uninstaller plus running registry search and deleting left overs but it still shows up in the "Printers and Devices" as a device (see pix attached the red icon with the L on the devices) and when I right click on it offers to do stuff.  I don't trust this and somehow I accidentally picked it up as I was upgrading from Windows 7/8 on my Desktop.  Don't mean it was part of the upgrade I just made a mistake and let it install.  It is stuck in my computer like Gorilla glue.  I have searched the Internet and I find all kinds of sites offering to remove it but just a come on to get their software which doesn't remove it either.  Appreciate any help getting it out of my computer.

Can you post a screen shot of what it offers to do when you click on it?

I know that the devices and printers will show the computer info if windows is able to read from the bios.

Pix IMG_0113 is of LSC when right clicking on the icon.  Then when selecting "Open" is the second pix "screenshot".

There is a driver installed in order for that to be showing up, so we need to find the driver.

So I need to see what drivers are installed. Download and install my hardware identify program
http://www.tweaking.com/files/setups/tweaking.com_hardware_identify_setup.exe

Then open it and when it loads up and you see the list, just right click on the list and save the whole list to a txt file and the post that txt file for me :-)

It may not show up in this list, but some do, depends if they add an item to the device manager or not :-)

OK it wasnt listed in there. So I download the program, extracted the setup so I can see what files it is doing. And man does that thing get into everything lol

Anyways I found the drivers that it does install and the service.

Service:
LSCWinService

Drivers:
pcicsa_x64.sys
ldiagio_uefi.sys
ldiagio_legacy.sys
ldiagio.sys

So see if you have any of those on your system.

You can also go to the device manager, then go to advanced and click on show hidden items. Then in the device manager list will be the non plug and play drivers installed, see if any of those are in there.

Negative on all files and checking Device Manager yielded nothing after I had to show all hidden.  I did a scan of the hard drive and of the registry and didn't find any of those you listed.

Well... crap balls lol

It wouldn't let me install it in vmware so I couldn't dig in and try to find it. So I am limited on it.

I hate to say this, but without me being able to get my hands on it on my end and rip into it, i dont know what to have you do next. I would say grab the newest version they have, install it, reboot and then uninstall it. Sometimes uninstallers miss something and they fix it in an update.
