windows cannot open icon from the desktop
« on: July 24, 2015, 11:31:28 pm »
Hi Everybody
I would appreciate some help please.
Hi Everyone
When clicking the Tweaking icon, it will not open the program from the desktop. As the other programs work correctly, I assume a Windows “linking” file has disappeared. The message that appears is “windows cannot find C:\program files (x86)\Tweaking.com\Windows Repair (All in One)\Repair_Windows.exe.”
The Windows Repair (All in One) folder is present in the program (x86) folder, along with a number of sub folders including Repair_Windows.exe.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program to no avail, and run the system file checker, which did not find any problems. My av is Avast and I also ran Malwarebytes which did not find any viruses.
As I do not wish to do a Restore, has anyone got any ideas that I might try.
My machine is a  laptop running W7 premium.
Thanks in anticipation.

Delete the shortcut. Then go to the exe in the folder and right click on it and then mouse over "send to" and then click desktop (create shortcut) and a new shortcut will be made :-)
