Registry Backup-can Microsoft Windows 7 restore from this backup or must it use its own?

I assume it will have to use its own backup from rstrui.exe since I think you may store the restore in a different format that changed with Vista and newer.

Thanks
Peter

The system restore is a total different backup. How ever the way my program backups the registry is just the same. It doesn't save the files in any different kind of format. So it would be possible to use other programs to restore them if needed.

But normally programs aren't made that way. They normally are just meant to work with themselves.

I did make some videos on how to restore the registry from the program if you cant even boot into Windows. Something you cant always do with the system restore
