Repair Windows Snipping Tool
« on: June 20, 2015, 05:51:47 am »
I Googled "Repair Windows Snipping Tool."  Several items gave me this program as a solution.  Neither the freeby nor the Pro touched it.  $20 is no biggy, but somewhat disappointed that Tweaking is listed as a cure.

The repairs are free, the pro is extra features, so there was no need to buy the pro unless you wanted to show support or wanted the extra features

What exactly are you having trouble with the snipping tool?

I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64.  When I clicked on Snipping Tools, a long blue bar would show up and a message within the bar telling me this program does not work with your OS.  I finally fixed it by finding where the program was and then right clicking the desktop and creating a new shortcut.  I deleted the old one and put the new one in my Taskbar.  I'll keep the Tweaking tool.  I may have need for it later on.  Thanks.

Ah, ok so it was just a problem with the shortcut then, the repair snipping tool is a small repair that registers the snipping tool dll files and such, but I dont have it touch any shortcuts.
