18 c?? Thats is a nice low temp!

On my AMD I have it overclocked to 4.2ghz. I keep the cool and quite enabled and allow Windows to lower the cpu speed and voltage when it isn't being used. This both lowers the temp and power usage.

And when I game it auto jumps max to its max.

yeah shane il  leave that at auto for safety sake  but you said  your overclocked to 4.2   a 8150 max turbo  is 4.2   a 8120 is 4    does that number scale up  when you increase the base clock  1 more thing did you install the Microsoft  hot fixes  i hear it only gains about 2 percent better   thanks

I am on the 8150. Not using turbo, just manually over clocked it

Only updates I install are the ones through Windows update

i ran  occt   the strees test and in bsoded      i noticed it suffered from v-droop   so i  disabled thermal throttle     and upped  the  v-core  to 1.38

retested with  occt  and prime  95  for about 30 minutes each and so far so  good     but i did noticed 1  thing though  at everything stock  the cpu  scored  7.5  in the windows experience   after  getting it stable  and the upped v-core  voltage   i re-ran the windows experience  and got  7.7 for the cpu
:cheesy:  so i think il  leave it this way   thanks  shane    :cheesy:
