Make sure to install the 32 bit version of java as well.

The 64 bit can only be used by 64 bit programs and the 32 bit for 32 bit programs

Thank you for your reply.

I have both version 32 and 64 installed.

And when i go onto java website to verify that it is working the window stays grey!!
While javacpl.exe says it is enabled!!

You could try working your way through http://www.java.com/en/download/help/troubleshoot_java.xml as well as the associated links at the bottom.

What browser are you using? I know firefox has java disabled by default. Tools - add-ons and then extensions and java is set to never activate.

Hi,

I am using Chrome Version 42.0.2311.90 m
same thing with explorer!

It used to work fine until recently with both.

As i have said, i have uninstalled ans reinstalled Java using windows add and remove, and also with Revo Uninstaller and clean the registry, but something seems to stop Java from running despite being enabled in the browser
If i used javacpl.exe and verify, it says it is enabled but i noticed that in the temp file there is nothing showing!! cannot find JRE file!!!
see gif

Thanks

Here is a screen shot of what shows on my system, this is from the 32 bit java applet in the control panel.
