How long should Windows Repair v2.10.2 take to run?
« on: January 03, 2015, 07:03:38 pm »
Computer has Windows 8.1. Had trouble getting past number 1, reset registry permissions. Waited a couple of hours. Deselected number 1 and ran the remaining 36 items. This went faster. Tried to run number 1 again and it is still running after 2 hours. How long should this process take. System monitor still shows green yellow red activity. Process Count is 101, 100, 102, 101 etc. I am trying to get the tiles to work properly on Windows 8.1. Thanks in advance.

Number 1 item finally finished after about 2 hrs and 35 minutes. However, Windows Repair did not fix my problem with tiles that do not work properly with Windows 8.1. Microsoft recommended formating the computer and reinstalling Windows 8.1.

Never seen the repair take that long to run before, unless something was getting in the way.

Did you try running the repair sin safe mode?

When the repair did not fix my problem with the tiles not working properly, I tried to reboot in safe mode. I was not able to reboot my computer at all. After trying to get into my computer for a while, I performed a recovery and formatted my computer. That may be the answer to why try to fix something that is not broke. However, in your defense, something was probably broken. Thanks anyway for your work. Wolfpackron.
