Installing Microsoft Office 2010
« on: September 28, 2014, 04:56:39 pm »
After uninstalling MSO 2007 and a trial version of 2010, I am unable to install a MSO 2010 full version. I keep getting an error message reading that I am unable to install the New version due to still having the old trail version. I have done a regular uninstall, and I also have used REVO uninstaller. The 2001 version also the trail 2010 show NOWHERE on my PC (All programs). Can some one please help me. Thank you

There could still be something in the registry.

Go Start Orb - type regedit - press enter and accept the UAC then navigate -

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and could be in Microsoft

Also HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/and again possibly in Microsoft where you can right click on an entry and select Delete, but create a restore point first before making any changes and you need to reboot to effect any changes.

Could be in the registry, if not then it is in the Windows Installer.

If so, download and run this tool
http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/windows_installer_cleanup_utility.html

Then when you run it check the list for any of the old office installs you had and remove them. The tool will remove it from the windows installer and then you should be able to install it again
