class not registered

I googled the subject and one link directed me here so I ran the windows repair to see what it might fix.  I get the error message each time I try to use MMC (Microsoft Management Console), especially when I try device manager.  Windows Repair ran for half an hour but alas the problem still exists.  Any thoughts?

Original problem is that my dell 1525 laptop doesn't recognize SD cards, it gives that low disappointed double tone when I insert the card so I thought I'd blow away the driver and reinstall it . . . .

First, what version of Windows?

Also which repairs did you run in my program?

And, can you post a screen shot of the error by chance?
