.dl repair
« on: July 28, 2014, 08:01:38 am »
MSVCP71.dll is missing does not seem to affect anything.
The warning appears while clicking on Haupphauge TV icon and then is clicked off in OK box.
It does seem to affect the performance of TV on my Laptop or any other areas.
I can use a suggested method to replace the .dll in the registry.
Is it necessary?
Twreaking did not repair it.
Win7 64
Thanks.

Later I used Recuva from Piriform LTD, found a good copy of the file and replaced it in all degsinated areas.
I replaced it in my  in WinTV Haupphauge program. Everything works OK but message still appears"try reinstalling program".
MSVCP71.dll no longer appears as a missing program in Recuva
SOLVED!!  placed .dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64. All is well!!

There is always a 32bit and 64bit version so thats why it needed to be in that folder as well. That file shouldn't have been removed by the program you used, good to see you got it fixed :-)

My Windows Repair doesn't replace files on a system, thats why it didnt fix it.
