got system hangs at system restore screen
« on: July 10, 2014, 03:03:35 pm »
I have a problem restore my system to an earlier point, so here are some details about what happened:

I've just completed a run all repair 'using TW program, choose automatic backup for Windows, but when I go to do a system restore then I receive a message "Please wait" and here get system hangs at this "Please wait" screen! I've waited more than 10 minutes but the system is still stuck at this screen!
Note: Windows is unable to complete the process of restoring the system when I use your software, but the system can be restored quickly when the combofix’s has create a restore point!

If you used my newest version of the program it should have made a registry backup. Restore the registry backup from before the repairs and see if that fixes system restore, if it does please let me know, that means it was something in the registry and I would love to trace it down. In fact before you restore the registry with my program make another backup, so that way I can have a copy of the broken one and a copy of the good one so i can do a compare on them :-)

good ,  I'm confused now because I remove the Registry Backup program for the simple reason that your Registry Backup program have closes one utility while your Registry Backup program is doing a restore point!
In any case, 'How Open Registry Backup which is Part of the Tweaking.com - Windows Repair program.?
and make another backup with Registry Backup or windows?

If you used the default settings then you should have a C:\RegBackup folder, if so you should have the backups there, just install the program and have it restore.

Reinstall the program and I did what you suggested, but this did not make any difference I still want to know what's wrong!

If this is the same system that has the corrupt system files then I would be doing a bad sector check on the hard drive, it can take a couple of hours to run depending on the size of the drive.

No, this is my system (clean system), no virus, no junk programs.,no corrupt system files But I seriously doubt that there are system files are missing. & I have to do a disk check/virus check  every week and there is no problem !

Bad sectors on a drive is hardware related not a virus and is something that can be there without you knowing unless you scan for them or a important file ends up on a bad sector and then the file becomes corrupt.
