file system repair
« on: May 14, 2014, 04:40:37 am »
Hi,

'Repair info' of '02 Repair file permissions' states:
Quote
Reset File Permissions: The repair will grant administrators, system, users and everyone full rights to every file on the selected drives
I would interpret this to mean that if run on a system drive, everyone would get full rights to all files in any user's profile folders, which seems wrong. Can you clarify?

Thanks,
Michael

I need to update the info file for that repair :-)

The profiles folder is skipped, then after the rest is done it does the profile folders adding system and administrators. Then on your profile itself it adds system, admins and your user account.

So if the other users are not admins then they will not have access to the other profile folders :-)
