Bluescreen shut down
« on: February 10, 2014, 08:41:59 am »
Within the last week windows 7, home edition 64 has been randomly shutting down with a bluescreen saying in effect that Windows has detected an error that might harm the computer.  It shuts down and reboots and will go several hours before it happens again.  I have run all my maintenance and malware programs to no avail.  Is there something I'm missing?  Thanks.

I use this program
http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed

It will analyze the crash dump file and tell you what might have caused the blue screen, that is the first step :-)

Hirens boot disc has a program called Blue Screen View which will tell you what caused the error screen.

Seems like the same solution Shane suggested.  Matter of taste, I guess. :)
