Windows Repair stops at Print Spooler
« on: December 30, 2013, 06:11:58 am »
Just wanted to let you know that the Windows Repair tool stopped at the Print Spooler, left it up all day and night and it never got past this point. I'm going to try and run it again.

Thanks for the product though.

Repairs #1, 2 and 4 each take a VERY significant amount of time to complete. Each other repairs should be completed within say a minute.

- Try to run (all) other repairs first but DO skip #24 (Printer spooler). And then try to rerun #24 again/as well. Problem solved ?
- File permissions could be messed up. Try to run repair #2 alone and then try #24. Problem solved ?

The repair is ran from a bat file, which one of the commands is to stop the spooler service. If the service wont stop then it will set there waiting for it, it is windows waiting and the repair wont go till it does. If that happens try killing the spooler.exe from the task manager and see if it moves on

Cool Beans!

Willy2 is my best beta tester of all my programs, he does it in his spare time and, besides me, no one knows how to use my programs as good as he can :-)
