No I downloaded a disc but I did however purchase a large enough usb drive to do the slipstream operation... Think I should give that a go?

Does the disk you downloaded have SP1 on it?

Yes Windows Home 32 and 64 SP1 and Windows Ultimate 32 and 64 SP1

I have a feeling they where slipstreamed in. Reading the page it says you cant use a slipstream one.

You need to get your hands on a 64 bit ultimate with SP1 already on it, an untouched one from MS.

I got the same error message as the pic I posted above when I tried to install using the new disc!

Either something is messed up with windows or your missing a step

I fixed the issue last night. I had to mount the iso with power iso (virtual drive). That was the only way I could install it correctly.

So I want to make a disc of that version I used and I cannot burn a disc or make a copy that has auto install or auto start included... If I burn a disc I have to browse files on disc to find setup.exe.
Do you know how I can burn an exact copy of the iso so it would be boot properly on disc?

How where you trying to run the setup before? I thought you where burning the image and running it from the disk.

no i was opening the iso in poweriso and then burning through poweriso (which uses nero)
