Hi, I have a doubt . I am enclosing a part of malware bytes log file, which found 12 risks in my computer. Of course, i was trying to download a free abbyy reader and downloaded the three trojans. But it found about 12 and i had it quarantined and then removed the files whatever the contents. It mostly in zip files that it found these trojan, packer or PUP , what not.
My question is why avast did nothing on these files. When i downloaded these files, i ran avast on individual zip files for any virus or trojans. But it shows it scanned the zip files and found nothing. There was some unusual behaviour, so when i checked with malware bytes, it found these 12 unwanted programs.
File access settings of avast has been so designed that it catches the virus, when it tries to access the computer. Why not avast? found these in normal scan of viruses
